Monkton Farleigh

We currently have a limited number of spaces available at our Monkton Farleigh base. We have two classes, with mixed age groups and small class sizes.

Mixed Age Classes

• Continuity of teaching, with the same teacher for a number of years. This allows for closer bonds, a greater understanding of each child’s needs and abilities and fewer transitions.
• Mixed age classes allow children to socialise with children who span different year groups, allowing greater diversity and acceptance.
• We encourage peer teaching and learning, with older children supporting the learning of younger children. Reinforcing their knowledge and building important communication skills.
• There is the opportunity for siblings to be in the same class.

Wrap around care

• The Lookout Day Nursery who run a preschool on the same site also provides breakfast and after school clubs. This provides wrap around care for Churchfields School children from 7.30am to 6.30pm each day, as well as offering holiday clubs in the school holiday.
