Exciting News from Space
At the beginning of April we found out that we had been successful in a bid for Churchfields to take part in the
Rocket Science Seed Test.
Our Green Club have been busy helping to set up the Rocket Science experiment.
100 seeds that have been kept in micro gravity by Major Tim Peake on the International Space Station (sent back to Earth this month), and 100 that have remained on Earth, have been sown following the strict instructions from the Royal Horticultural Society and the U.K. Space Agency.
Children will be monitoring and recording their growth carefully so that the results can be sent, at the end of May, to the national database at the RHS. The experiment will contribute to the global scientific understanding of growing plants in space.
